Mike Cottrell School of Business

Building Business Leaders

Undergraduate Programs in Business

With more than 900 undergraduate majors, the Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) program is one of the largest undergraduate programs on campus.  The program maintains a "small school" atmosphere where faculty members know their students while offering "big school" benefits such as study aboard opportunities, internships, and interaction with senior executives from business and industry.

Program Offerings

The Mike Cottrell School of Business offers the BBA degree with majors in:

  • Accounting
  • Finance
  • Management
  • Marketing

Each major includes a liberal arts foundation, a common set of courses providing a broad base of business knowledge, and specialized courses within the major.

In addition, the School offers a Minor in Business.  This program allows non-business majors to gain a foundation in accounting, finance, management, and marketing.

Locations

Courses leading to a BBA degree are offered through the Mike Cottrell School of Business.  The main office is located in 124 Newton Oakes Center on the main campus in Dahlonega.  All courses required for the BBA degree are offered on the Dahlonega campus.  All of these courses are offered during the day.  Some courses have additional sections taught during the evening.

The School also offers the junior and senior level courses included in the BBA degree on the Gainesville State College campus in Oakwood.  These courses are offered in the evening for part-time students.  See the Gainesville Program link under Advising Resources for more information on this program.

A limited number of courses are available online.
