The Military College of GeorgiaARmy ROTC Program
Who We Are
By far the least expensive senior military college, North Georgia Cadets live in new Cadet residence halls, study in a modern library/technology complex, work out in a state-of-the-art fitness center, and eat in a stunning new dining facility. Most have Army ROTC scholarships, Georgia Military Scholarships, leadership scholarships and/or are soldiers in the Georgia Army National Guard or Army Reserve.
Known for its innovation in
international affairs and strategic foreign language education, North Georgia offers more
than 50 bachelor’s degrees. If you're
seeking a job as an Army officer; or a job in federal service such as the FBI,
CIA, State Department; or a career in international business, North Georgia is
the senior military college for you.
Our Corps of Cadets numbers 750, and is the centerpiece of the university’s 5,500 undergraduate students. Army ROTC Cadets receive a combination of a West Point-like experience along with a normal college education resulting in a well-rounded social and military experience.
We seek disciplined young men and women who want to be leaders. We're not looking for young men and women who need discipline. Applicants must have completed a college-preparatory curriculum in high school, have good grades and SAT or ACT scores, and be in good physical and medical condition. The primary purpose of the Corps of Cadets is to produce officers for the United States Army, Army National Guard and Army Reserve.Nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Dahlonega, Georgia, is a quaint, historic, safe small town one hour north of Atlanta. Dahlonega is the site of one of the first major gold rushes in the U.S. and is the home of the Mountain Phase of the Army’s Ranger School. The 120-acre main campus is readily recognized by the gold-covered steeple of the administration building, Price Memorial Hall, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and a landmark of Dahlonega. Known widely for its historic town square surrounded by artisan galleries, workshops, retail stores, restaurants and bistros, the picturesque community is the home of the first major gold rush in the nation and a popular tourist attraction. With stunning waterfalls surrounded by lush forests, the region draws visitors who enjoy hiking, mountain climbing, rafting, canoeing, camping, mountain biking, fishing and hunting.
