Application Instructions

  1. Application for admission and all application materials must be submitted to the Office of Graduate Admissions. Graduate admission is program specific. In general, applicants should contact the program of interest before applying and review the Graduate Bulletin section for the program.
  2. If you attended North Georgia, you do not have to request official transcripts from North Georgia.
  3. If your undergraduate degree is from North Georgia, you only need to request official transcripts from schools after your graduation from North Georgia.
  4. Applicants who are admitted, but do not enroll by the academic year following the year of acceptance, must reapply.
  5. Students who were previously enrolled but have not been in attendance with the last 3 terms must also reapply.
  6. Doctorate of Physical Therapy applicants apply through PTCAS.  If accepted by the program, one set of all official transcripts and immunization forms must be submitted to the Office of Graduate Admissions.
  7. International students must submit the International Application for Graduate Admissions. Please do not apply online.
  8. Admission documents submitted to fulfill application requirements for entry to a program at North Georgia become the property of the university and will not be returned.
  9. Application materials are kept for 1 year for incomplete application files and for 3 years for individuals who complete an application and are accepted, but do not enroll.
  10. Graduate Admission Grade Point Average Calculation for master level programs is the total of completed units taken for the baccalaureate and all credits taken beyond for which students received a letter grade A-F or WF (plus and minus points are not used).  If a student repeated a course, both attempts are used.
  11. Some programs allow an exemption for the entrance test score (GRE, GMAT, or MAT), if evidence of a master's in any field is submitted.  See degree program for details or email grads@northgeorgia.edu.
