Welcome! The Center provides innovative opportunities for Appalachian scholarship and service for both students and the community. It is located in the historic Vickery House on the North Georgia campus, just a few blocks from downtown Dahlonega.
New minor in Appalachian Studies
North Georgia is the first university in the state to offer this minor. This multidisciplinary program provides students with an understanding of the culture, economy, history, natural resources, and politics of the Appalachian region and how these concepts impact and influence Appalachian communities and their residents.
