Private Loans

A private loan is also sometimes called an alternative loan. Students and parents sometimes consider a private loan when they have maxed out on all their Federal loan eligibility.  Use the link below to learn more about Private Loans.  Here you can choose a lender and apply.  Once your private loan request is approved, please contact your NGCSU financial aid counselor to add the loan to your account.

If your loan is approved, you will also need to come back here and complete the following self-certification and return it to the lender:

To determine your "Cost of Attendance" and "Estimated Financial Aid" for the self-certification:

-Log into Banner
-Choose the "Financial Aid" tab
-Choose the "Award" option
-Choose the "Award for Aid Year" option
-Select the "11-12" aid year
-Choose the "Award Overview" option

-Choose "Student Invoice"
-Choose "Fall" term
-Scroll down to see your bill
