Important dates & deadlines for financial aid applications

   For the Fall 2011 - Summer 2012 school year:

 

 

March 17, 2012

Submit the 2012-2013 FAFSA-Free Application for Federal Student Aid for Priority Consideration and timely processing for Fall 2012 funding. Completed applications received after May 1st may not be processed in time for Fall 2012 bill payment. Don't delay!

We recommend you begin the financial aid application process in early February each year. You can submit most application forms electronically or by mailing a paper copy. Be sure to complete all required forms, in either format, several weeks before the Priority deadline.
April 1, 2012 Pell Grant eligible students need to complete the 2011-2012 FAFSA if it is to be taken into consideration in determining Pell summer 2012 award.
April 6, 2012 Summer Financial Aid Request forms due to the financial aid office for priority consideration for financial aid to be awarded by the summer bill due date.  This requirement is for current returning students only.  New students should not complete the Summer Financial Aid Request form.
May 1, 2012 Priority deadline for Fall 2012 financial aid to be available when classes begin and to meet the pre-payment deadline in mid-August. Late financial aid applicants MUST be prepared to pay the bill to avoid schedule cancellation of pre-registered classes. Note: This is not a final mailing date....this is "everything must be complete, correct, and finished with federal processing" date.
May 14, 2012  

MAY 14, 2012:  FEE PAYMENT DEADLINE FOR SUMMER 2012 PRE-REGISTRATION

Please review your student invoice in Banner prior to the listed payment deadlines.  Be aware that your fees may differ from semester to semester based on class selection/location.  Do not assume your Financial Aid will automatically cover your entire bill.  You must pay the balance not covered by pending Financial Aid to avoid incurring late fees.  Late fees are assessed at the rate of $6.00 per credit hour.  Late fees are assessed at the rate of $6.00 per credit hour and will be assessed at the close of business (5:00 pm) Monday, May 14, 2012.
May 18, 2012  

MAY 18, 2012:  FEE PAYMENT DEADLINE FOR 1ST SHORT AND FULL SUMMER SESSIONS REGISTRATION & DROP/ADD

Students who register for summer semester on/after May 16th or make schedule changes during drop/add should review student invoices and remit payment by the close of business (5:00 pm) Friday, May 18, 2012.  Students who fail to remit payment in full by the close of business (5:00 pm) Friday, May 18, 2012, will be dropped from all courses.
June 26, 2012

JUNE 26, 2012:  FEE PAYMENT DEADLINE FOR 2ND SHORT SESSION REGISTRATION & DROP/ADD

Students who register for the 2nd short session on/after June 25th or make schedule changes during drop/add should review student invoices and remit payment by the close of business (5:00 pm) Tuesday, June 26, 2012.  On-line payment options will be unavailable starting at 5:00 pm June 26th through July 2nd for fiscal year-end processing.  Payments will be accepted in the Business Office during regular business hours.
